Welcome to Valencia Elementary – a wonderful school in a charming setting, which celebrates students and nurtures scholarship. Valencia strives to develop student academic achievement through rigorous instruction and innovative child-centered programs which strengthen student connections to our local and global communities as well as to the natural world. We offer an inspiring environment for the education of girls and boys from Transitional Kindergarten through Grade Five, in the unyielding belief that each and every child has the potential for excellence and deserves the opportunity to reach the highest levels of education. Through teaching of the highest caliber, students are expected and encouraged to excel academically and develop socially. Valencia’s devotion to bringing out the best in each pupil lies at the heart of our educational philosophy. Valencia Lightning Bolts acquire skills, which will enable them to sustain an enduring love of learning and facilitates their on-going pursuit of higher education. Our Character Counts program and supportive family atmosphere also helps to cultivate in students, a lasting sense of social and civic responsibility. Meet our new principal!

Meet our new principal! Valencia Elementary School would like to welcome Mr. Tarcio Lara as our new principal! He has worked for the El Rancho Unified School District since 1998. He taught at North Park Middle School, Meller Elementary, and Rivera Middle School. Mr. Lara then became the Dean of Guidance and Discipline at El Rancho High School and subsequently the Assistant Principal at North Park Middle School. Mr. Lara has a passion for the arts and believes in developing the whole child. We welcome Mr. Lara to be part of the Lightning Bolt family!
Generation First Degree - College Financial Aid Town Hall

Generation First Degree - College Financial Aid Town Hall Generation 1st Degree Pico Rivera will host a FREE workshop for Pico Rivera families to learn how to pay for their child's college education from top experts. Specialists from area universities, financial institutions and scholarship foundations will be available to answer questions.

All Pico Rivera families, especially those with young children and preteens are highly encouraged to attend as well as parents of children in high school. Free childcare and Spanish language translation will be provided.

The enrollment period for the upcoming school year is now open.
Online Meal Application
The El Rancho Unified School District meal application can now be submitted online. If you require assistance, please contact the Food Services Department at (562) 801-5272.
Breakfast and Lunch Menus
Meals, foods and beverages sold and served at schools meet state and federal requirements based on the USDA Dietary Guidelines. All meals, foods, and beverages are prepared and served by qualified child nutrition professionals. We provide students access to a variety of affordable and apealing foods that meet the health and nutrition needs of students.
Spooky Story Night
On Thursday, Oct 30th from 6pm-7pm., there will be live readings of spooky stories.

With the excitement of Halloween approaching, Valencia will be hosting a Spooky Story Night for our students to enjoy. Join us for a night of edge of the seat riveting stories that everyone will find entertaining.
